dls wait between downloads

why is it that i have to wait 5 minutes before i can get another download?
it lets me have 2, then i have to wait.

is this another thing just to make us buy a fct?

I'm guessing server load. I never had to wait BETWEEN downloads before I got my FCT, but I'm sure there is some fallback procedure when the DLS server is under heavy load. Waits are a common (and necessary) strategy.

Nobody can actually MAKE you buy a FCT, I've had a few because I CHOSE to buy them

Because my main interest is BR during the 1950-1960 period, having just purchased the S&C expansion pack I have tons of suitable content and only need to download the odd item or two so I don't need one at the moment. No doubt sometime in the future there will be some large downloads that I want, so I will buy another one then.

On the odd occasion that I model a US route, because I have no knowledge whatsoever of the real thing, I can blithely mix and match things that couldn't possibly have existed at the same time without having to worry about finding the right asset, there is always some built in content that is near enough for me
