DLS folks must be drinking their coffee

The folks who run the DLS must have been drinking some of the high octane coffee lately.

My first uploads took days to appear on the DLS, but the last few days it seems to have been an exceptionally short time period from upload - approval - available.

Just a few hours ago I uploaded an update and BAM the "Your Content" section of Profile already shows it available.

Keep up the speedy service.

G'day!

DLS is working? All I get is Server Appears to be full... ¬_¬ :n:

Cheers... :(

Jake.

You can bet you best pair of Crocodile Boots that the folks at Auran are back at work (after the holidays), and are hard at work trying to fix the "Customer paid for TS10, and has a FCT, and is unable to download" problem.

Receint floods and rain may have put stress on the Australia "interwebs", and Auran employees ... I want to wish all he Auran crew a Happy New Year, and extend a Thank You for all the hard work they do for all of us.

Now ... Fix the DLS:p Please

What a change this is, so very bored with everyone starting there own threads all over the forum (except the one place they should post) about DLS access.
Nice to hear it is all going well for you too.

Same here - without the hard work from Auran/N3V, we wouldn't have the Trainz series (and the patches for when things do go wrong)

Shane

I think the reason that there are a lot of patches is to fix problems that happen after release - remember, a company is not able to test every single eventuality.

Hopefully things will be OK for them soon.

Good job they don't make cars then (said with tongue in cheek)

I didn't log on between Christmas and 3rd January and I can't believe that there are yet more new threads exclaiming "DLS not working", "I'm so fed up with DLS", etc, etc. It's a pity people don't take the time to read what is already on the forum...

I'm not disputing the fact that the DLS may not work for them, but this is no reason to keep starting thread after thread about the same thing, mostly with an almost identical title.

Wasting Bandwidth with Many, Many, Redundant Threads

Most people do not know how to use the "SEARCH" button at the top of the forum, or are too busy to search, and expect immediate answers.

Most people post many, many redundant threads because they do not know that they can post just one thread, and keep adding to it, making it like a book, many pages long.

They don't know that they can Edit their posts ... or that they can "SEARCH" for a simlilar thread, and post all their questions in that old thread.

Sometimes I find a 2 year old thread that has alot of interesting related content, and bump the old thread with a new idea, that I type in that thread instead of starting a new redundant thread.

Not too busy. Too lazy.

As they don't take the time to bother finding out.

Again, because they don't take the time to bother finding out.

Sometimes I find a 2 year old thread that has alot of interesting related content, and bump the old thread with a new idea, that I type in that thread instead of starting a new redundant thread.

Which is exactly what people who are too lazy and who can't be bothered to find out, should do (although I do notice a lot of posters asking "why have you bumped a dormant thread?").

Dear PFX

Are you feeling a bit liverish after your Hogmanay celebrations, you certainly sound like as such! ( Hogmanay, incidentally, just for info - a French word )

Cheers,

Rob.

In the wise words of May Behee Dunnit, together with the collaboration of Itwa sntme, & following the well-read scriblinz of H.E Ma-Globinz.......
"Wee iz hoomin beenz". Which answers the myriads of questions, but explains nothing.
:'(:confused::eek::(:sleep::o:cool::D:hehe::wave:

But, it's an oft-times universally accepted answer.

It's the excess beer, wine, spirits and beer I drank back home in Scotland at hoguinané. Or perhaps I'm just a miserable *******?

By the way, there are problems with the DLS apparently. ; )
