I found out that there's a new "Dive to the Titanic" sim on Steam store. I think that you're supposed to dive to the ship in a mini-sub and use a camera robot to explore the ship. Is this a good game? I found out that the game is created by the same company that makes other sims that was discussed in a thread on this forum a few months ago.

I don't know if I could handle the pressure of playing that game, it seems too deep for me...:o

I gotta ask one question, I know it´s not the correct place but let me know please people if you know about it. Is it true that they´re making a new Titanic ship? A replica but with today´s securities and safeties equipment. I heard it somewhere but don´t know if it´s true or not.

They talked about it in the late 90's, its basically dead now. It was a silly idea to start with with little or no chance of success

And then it gets worse ... there's a runaway Titanic, on top of a runaway Titanic, that's like the Chrysler building, on top of a Chrysler building ! I wonder how that movie turns out ?

Yes exactly. The Titanic's name alone gives the impression of failure. Many actually related the Titanic disaster to a book written around 1890 or so with a similar plot/theme. The ship in the book was actually named Titan. The name to most is possessed.

Besides that fact the idea of another Titanic, whether it is a recreation or just a new ship, it is insulting to the over 1,500 people (and their families) who lost their lives on the morning of April 15, 1912 in the fridge cold waters due to the ship not having enough lifeboats for everyone.

Thats the funniest movie I've seen. I mean, wow, talk about not even trying very hard. Its clearly the Queen Mary, there is a Russian Submarine in front of the ship in port, and the sign people are getting their picture taken in front of says "Cunard's World Class Liner"

And the ship jumps from having 3 to 4 funnels, depending if its a shot of the QM or the 3D model

I played a flash game once where you had to re-arrange the deck chairs before they all came crashing down. You had to put them where they would hit the least passengers...

Edit: Oh wait, that wasn't me, that was on Robot Chicken...

Well I watched the trailer for the game, and assuming you can actually control the sub, it may not be all that bad. I mean, there are parts of the Titanic wreck that I have been curious about, but never seen on film, illustrations, or in any other form

However, its not worth $23 for a game that you may play for about 4 or 5 hours total.....once you have seen all there is to see, what do you do?

Maybe when its about $2.50
