No doubt related to the content of your thread name and posts. Make sure you aren't breaking any of the forum rules.

I dont think so pfx. My first thread entiteled "You are Banned......to an uninhabited island....." was merely a funny request for a Route suggestion. My second thread was entiteled "Dissapearing Thread" wich American Connections got a chance to reply to. However I truly hope that he was wrong in his explenation, because if he were right, then we as users of this Forum and Trains are probably in for a nasty surprise in the near future.

I actually read your second thread and didn't see it as offensive in any way. Didn't post on it though.

I think it has been known for threads to disappear but I can't say with certainty.

Thank you for your reply. Will you please allow me the opportunity to try this again. Here goes. You are Banned......to an uninhabited island untill the next release of Trainz. You will be provided with accomidation, food, drink, powerfull PC and a large screen. You are allowed to take your favourite release of Trainz, BUT you can only take ONE Route/Layout with you. Wich Route will it be?

Rosworth Vale please.

I could also put a spanner in the works by asking to take some content from the DLS too... hehe.

Very difficult choice,

Before Trainz 2010 was released, I would of always said Glasgow to Falkirk made by Vern, however after the release of Trainz 2010, that once superb route has taken a pounding and does not look as good as it once was, shame really, as I loved this route, an update or a make-over would do this route the world of good...

If I only had the choice from Trainz 2010, then I would now say the East Coast Mainline is by far the best route ever...

You may take any one Route with you, from DLS, a 3rd party site, you can even buy it seperately. pfx, I am a new user of trainz, where I live the internet is really expensive and I have limited resources, only 1Gb of data per month. My Thread was an attemt to try and establish which Routes is really worth spending my data on.

Rosworth Vale is built in to 06 and 09. All I've done is update it with newer track and scenery items.

Georgetown to Tarin Rocks, By axe1970. A fantastic route and well worth the download.

Cheers

You're right, ECML is the best route:) that's the one I'd take.

However, I take it you haven't seen my good pal nawlins fantastic remake of this Glasgow- Falkirk then? he's brought it up to scratch including rebuilding Queen St station properly with the correct roof (because of my nagging:) ) and includes a canal system and the Falkirk Wheel!

It's on the DLS too, kuid:117948:101563

For the UK scene, have you tried my rework of Fort William- Mallaig (remade by nawlins for TRS2009) complete with historically accurate sessions?

HTH.

BTW where do we get the electricity to run our pcs on this uninhabited island, is it an uninhabited island except for a fully staffed power station:D

Many Thanks TMZ06003, I will look out for these routes on the download station, these should keep me busy for a long time...

Hopefully Auran/Neverfail will add these routes to the new look Trainz 20XX in the future...

We can also add Solar Power, Wind Turbine Power, Wave Action Power. I wil try your suggestion Glasgow - Falkirk. Falkirk Wheel sounds interesting.

I used to live right next to it before I moved here. Apparently, it takes the power of just 2 boiling kettles to rotate the caissons. I still haven't worked out how the power is transferred from the kettles to the wheel?!?

Perhaps it is the equivalent power of 2 boiling kettles...

Could not find the Route - Glasgow to Falkirk on DLS, only Falkirk to Glasgow by strong. Found your pal nawlins Route - BR Midlands Fantacy which I will download next month, it seems very big. He's also got some Broad Guage stuff of which I have nothing yet. Thanx for the tip.

Maybe it means the poor soul they have turning the wheel by hand goes through two kettles worth of tea in a shift? :D
