Dig-Holes for 1/4 tile?

Hello, due to realistic tunnel construction, I am looking for the possibility to create (or to get) dig holes covering only a quarter of an 10x10 meters tile to switch it invisable . The smallest available dig holes covers 10x10 meters tiles. This often requires large tunnel portal-objects to cover the unneeded rest of the invisble tiles.
For better looking areas arround the tunnels it would be great to have dig holes covering only one quarter of an 10x10 meters tile (5x5 meters).

Thank you in davance.

Modelling Nine-Mile-Tunnel situated about 3,70 miles east of Alberton, Mt and just one mile west of Soudan, Mt - here with a tunnel-portal-object taken from elswhere. The rock cliff goes straight up from the tunnel and the tunnel portal-object (to be newly created) would need to cover a great area of invisible tiles. The screen demonstrates the benefit of an 1/4 tile Dig-Hole.

If you use 5 meter grid, some dig holes end up making a hole around the grey lines in wireframe view instead of the white lines in wireframe view. I use this for the model railroadz that I build from scratch to make fascias at unusual angles.

Thank you very much!

I have been looking at DLS for those dig holes you mentioned. Do you remember a special name or a kuid number of such dig holes?

Yes, it would be the best if I could position the tunnels just within the grid, but unfortunately thats often not possible in route creation I do.

No. I can't remember off the top of my head. Unfortunately, it's almost midnight here so I've stopped trainzing for the day and tomorrow I'll be leaving on a week-long trip to visit family, so I won't be able to see what dig holes will work.

Thank you very much anyway - per may I will find such dig holes by searching myself again more carefully :-)

Hava nice days with your family :-)

Tume,

I have never seen any 5-meter dig-hole assets on the DLS. That doesn't mean there aren't any and I didn't find them at the time.

You could use tunnel track without ends (digholes), place portal openings at each end (trackobjects or scenery objects), and then use this track object

One advantage is being able to have the tunnel at any angle, not just at 45's.
