Diddier Mills - in action. (56k warning)

Mid-west USA. A new ethanol based milling operation has itself well-established in the intense summer heat. Didder Mills Inc purchased an old Southern SW1 switching engine to service the mill. With a small train crew, the mill is also a place to see some switching action.

The mill has its own switching and servicing yard. Where it has 5 tracks, each track with its specific role. Box car out, box car in, hopper in/out, tanker in/out, and a track to place stock in need of repair to go onto the interchange. The mill also has a service shop to repair the old SW1 whenever.

Here we can see a screenshots of the SW1 in action as it services the mill with a tanker operation in place.

That does look really good. Looks like Ocemy's track, which is amazing even though the ballast is a little sparkly. Did you edit it, or does it not show in the screenie?

That is the CHN 02 - Low track. "Low" i think is in reference to the lower track bed. And no the track is not edited.

That looks like a brilliant model. The detail is excellent and it's very atmospheric. Well done! :D

Incidentally the term 'low' may mean 'low-poly' which some creators often do with track so it doesn't eat up your poor processor! :hehe:

Cheers

Due to the mills fantastic quarterly profits, and the ever increasing demand, they received another SW1 work horse to help service the demand.

Here we see a Reading Lines SW1500 switcher move through the mill on the main line dropping off some empties for the mill.

Some more mill action as we see the two SW1's pull a cut of hoppers out to be filled an placed onto the holding side.. You may also notice a bulk car holding C-beams for "upcoming" rail improvements.

A Norfolk Southern coal train comes screaming through industry, clearly disregarding any speed laws in the area.

Next up a new warehouse industrial spur addition has taken its shape on the layout. It is a small gated off complex that has 2 very small sidings for local freight.

The SW1 pipes down the line a blazing speed of 15MPH.
