You know they always did say that intresting things are put on freight trains. This right here is a big one.

Oh yeah. It's a UP (union pacific) [FONT=arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]DDA40X. It's included in 06 and 04.

Not sure if it's included in previous versions of trainz.:)

Yeah it is. Pretty sweet to see it in a lash up with a couple burners! Its amazing how small they look compared to 6936.

Well it is said that 6936 is used on rare occasional revenue freight trains along with 3985 and 844. This was really shocking that this appeared on a freight train.

And the 844 will pull freight on the way to an excursion. UP hates to move locos without someone else paying the bills.

 Claude

Yep, the UP will sometimes stick it on freights when they're short of power in or around Cheyenne (where its kept alongside 844 and 3985).

Although in this case I'd guess that's just her out and about after (or before?) the latest excursion with the 844 this past weekend.

Bimp ...

I downloaded all 23 of the various - DDA40X & DD35 locos, and corrected all their errors that they have. My other favorites are: UP-U50, and UP-Gas Turbine A-B, with Extended Tender.

I am modifying their horn and enginesounds in their config files.

The U50 on the DLS comes equiped with quite an interesting hornsound !

Can you guess which roadname I am reskinning them all in ?
Hint: They will be Tuscan Red and Brunswick Green... lol :hehe:

Judging by the fact that you PRR seems to be your favourite railroad, and that Tuscan Red and Brunswick Green are/were used by PRR, is it CSX? :p :hehe:

...Just kidding. Its PRR right?

Yeah, the UP figured with big enough loco's, they could revolutionize railroading.

Rather than transporting commodities, they could just drag the whole freakin' town around.

It was a tough sell...

:o

UP DDA40X doing freight revnue service. Nothing new sometimes the E9's, UP 844, and Challenger 3985 pull freight revunue service. Though a stunning lash-up to say the least.
