Desktop Background Slow's Computer down?

Hello!
~My Dads computer At Was running abnormally Slow For a whole week
We could'nt Figuer Out Why So we Phoned The puter Tech!
He told us to Get rid of the Desktop Background it just leave it blank
and suprizingly the computer ran Normal again!.

So just a little tip If you have a high Resolution Background it may slow up the performance of your PC.

Hi,

Usually when this happens, desktop wallpaper is slowing the computer down it means that either you have a wrong image type, like using wrong format or you are viewing the desktop as a web page.

This was a problem for Windows 95/98/98SE/ME.

I run 1680x1050 resolution without any slowdown.
