Dave Snow's KCS Hoppers derailing problem

If none of the regulars is having your problem, it's a you problem.
You likely are missing a patch or the asset is damaged locally and a database repair is in order. Something silly like that. I say start there; do the repair and check your build number.

Dave is an actual well known member and I don't recall people having any serious issues with the billion assets he created for the community.
Dave might be mixing you up with ApproachMedium or someone else with a similar name on YouTube, but I am pretty sure you could have chosen different words in replying to him about that.

Yes it is on my own route and I tested it on Toronto Rail Lands 1954 and the same thing happened.
Can you test it on more built-in routes? See if all routes have the same problem. This will allow others to further test as well on the same ones you did. Also, if it persists through more routes, and others do not experience this, I would say it is something you need to dig deeper into on your system. Is it a specific consist of cars, like combination of different types mixed with it that have problems you don't know about? This is pointing towards something else, not the rolling stock. Others have tested so far, and I don't recall seeing anyone getting the same symptom. Please, what is the consist(s) and test more routes.

I don't use the same consists more than once unless it's intermodal or autorack trains but will test it on other routes to see if these problems persist. These issues do occur on my other routes too just a heads up.

Here's some ideas as to why the "problematic" rolling stock might be derailing.

There's a toggle for derailing on/off. I have mine toggled "off" because I'm a terrible driver/engineer. Even when turned off, I derail trains. Ever try to couple a moving train to a stationary cut or rake at 15 mph? Yeah, I crash a lot when I forget what I am doing. I still have derailments.

Okay, some freight cars may be overloaded. I think a wagon carrying 2.5 times the mass/weight may be the first ones to break knuckles and crash.

Some commodities are super hevy due to density/weight.

If you use a helpful driver command (I use this a lot !) Instant load, all cars load up the first commodity listed in the commodity queue. These cars can be super heavy. Even if the car has a restrictor or limited max weight command, the car will load up as dictated by amount listed in load queue.

How to fix?

Toggle off derailments.

Manually set up each car commodity in surveyor before running a session.

Open up the config of each car to examine and adjust commodity load size. Commit to save changes.
