Data path for content on Mac OS

I have two different versions of Trainz on my Mac Book Pro running OS Sierra. I have one app installed on my internal drive and one installed on an external drive. When I installed on the external drive only the app was put there. The path to the data is on the internal drive. I have tried creating a path to the external drive in settings and moving it to that drive. I have noticed that there is a text file that really has the location of my content that cannot be edited. I have read the instructions about moving your content and it mentions all of this and then doesn't tell you what to do. Can anyone tell me if I can move the content?

Thanks

Yes, you can move the content with some effort:

1. Start the game.
2. Check in the settings to determine where your content is currently installed.
3. Exit the game.
4. Locate the content in Finder and move it to the new location.
5. Start the game.
6. In the settings, browse to the new location of your content and select the top-level folder (ie. the one that contains all of the trainz data files/folders, not some other folder).
7. Exit the game.
8. Start the game.
9. Double-check that the content location is correct. If you've specified an invalid path, it will reset to something valid, so if something has gone wrong then you'll need to redo step #6.
10. Enjoy!
