Data Base Repair

Get over it
Thought I'd give jrfolco's route "Cumberland to Connellville" a try and I'm having some problems. Downloaded it from his site and also downloaded the dependencies that were there also. So, the route is missing some dependencies, to be expected. Right click on the route in CM 3.7 and it searched and found nothing. I realize that some of the dependencies are outdated and no longer available but not every one of them. I started to fix some of the broken ones, needed an update some of the kuids, such as xxxxx:xxxxx:2 needed a 3. Then I thought a data base repair should take care of that. Am I wrong thinking that? Anyway, it didn't work. I'm getting no errors for the route but even tough the correct track is listed it doesn't appear, just the dotted lines. I'm getting frustrated here and thinking of forgetting this route. Any tricks, suggestions or ideas to help me would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think a DBR will fix this. This is sounds more like missing dependencies. Joe is pretty good about providing links for the missing stuff so I would check there and see if there are any that you missed on your download.

Thanks John for replying. The missing dependencies are on the dls and the CM searches for them and comes up empty. I have to download each one and then fix it. Never had this problem before. It's not Joe's fault. I'm thinking that a lot of the dependencies are old and outdated so they wouldn't work anyway but the JR track is updated, listed in the dependencies, but doesn't show up in the route. Confusing to me. I'll muck around a little longer and see if I can get things working.

That would make sense then....

The JR track I think is available from their website. The other assets can be downloaded off of the white pages manually using FTP and choosing the older versions. I ran into this issue a few days ago with an older route I downloaded.
