Kuid 10317??? Craig I did a windows search and a search of the DLS? LOL Mine is 13013 The Island should be bare! except for.....Vulcans Dock spline and building spline a grey shed spline the Castle bits parts of Vulcans railbarge setup overhead steam crane 4 big fuel tanks Chuffbuffs QR overgrown track Vulcans invis track tressle bridge beam bridge fishermans walf maybe the odd texture you can delete n patch up bit i stripped it bare from the thunderbirds so there should not ne problims like this????? sorry Craig and anyone else? oh some scenery sopwith pups on the docks and a lighthouse or two? if you have that you pretty much have where I am up to :D

Hi dreddman, as usual when I download a layout I check it with TO for anything missing so the above list is showing as missing, the only problem is that I wrote down the wrong Kuid Number "13017" and should have written "13013" as TO does show them as yours :D

Not to worry though, your description of the layout is basically what I have. I did find it funny at first though as TO showed a number of ships and a Loco as being used in the layout. When I looked at the layout there where none :confused: . It appears that TO, and I have not seen this before, when reading the Config File looks at the "string-table" in which you show the ships and loco used.

Anyway I placed some of the great ships mentioned here and tried to move from the docks ...... they sank about 10m away :eek: , the curves in the invisible track where to tight.

Being rather annoyed with the ships then I went to "Plan B" and placed the ships again with something additional ..... a nuclear submarine and sunk the whole fleet in one go, destroyed all the buildings and flattened the castle area :D

It was fun.

P.S. I hope Whecsailor releases his work and the people shown in the previous screenshots of yours.
 
Thats interesting I had my stuff on the island but deleted all the rollingstock/ships and then exited the session then deleted the session in suveyor but as exiting trainz it crashed? maybe this is so? :eek:

those people are a hungarian railways reskins of auran source dudes I dunno where I got them from?.........wasnt the DLS though I think ......

Even though I was a beta tester of TrainzObjectz for Terry I am not sure why TO shows those ships and Loco's in the layout but dreddman you may have given me the answer. Even though you deleted any "rolling stock" from your session and then the session, the "rolling stock" is still part of the original Config file in the "string-table", so I think that is the answer.

On the people side though you have just made me remember someone created about 100 or so people that where excellent and in 3D (from memory), the only thing we had to do was place a "people monitor" on the layout for them to work. I might look them up again when I am bored (very rare now days though :D )

Let's keep annoying Whecsailor for the release of his great content :p

Driveable Freighter

Couldnt resist we need something to turn into a convoy! 10..4..rubber ducky!.......Seriously Did You know Australia had a famous WW1 sub? the AE2 yeah I was reading about it Guess whats next?.. this ship thing is like trains all sorta like Vintage cars love the research LOL anyway a driveable 40's looking freighter on the DLS this week

We had a sub in WWI, would never had guessed that one. Love the freighter though.

Very interesting dreddman, many thanks for the link. Have I mentioned to you about the layout Noel (nbrettoner) and I are working on? Noel has spent the best part of 2 years finding out the details of a WWII US Airfield in Australia and the history behind that is very interesting. Whecsailor has made Bombers for us (on the DLS) and Ish has made specific Hangers for us (not on the DLS yet), plus we have an actual detailed plan of the airfield.

Very interesting history there, some well worth reading if you like that sort of stuff.

Boy I bet the dudes over in Pre 1900 screens will be :eek: ....But you saw it here first in Das Boot "The Official Trainz Shipping Thread!" Mods I will post 1 dual screen over there as there might be some who dare not look here!!..........
Plying their Trade..accross the Oceans of Trainz San Francisco .. London .. Canton..My Place the Great Clipperships carried goods to the 4 corners of the known Trainz layouts.. still rough but the idea is in Trainz at around 12k polys driveable ..........come friends let your imagionations go down to those foggy docks in the late 1800's early 1900's what sort of steam should be present in your country? Thinking now I will do another once I swap hulls of a steam+sail clipper.....:D
Another interesting concept for Trainz Yes I can make the clipper interactive? So who knows about turn of the centuary docks/railways/yards/???...........................

.....The Answer is Imagion! You (or product) catch a trainz in one Country/Layout all the way to the port then cross the Trainzseas to the next Country/Layout delivering the Goddies to their final destination? :eek:
yes 2 layouts in one now you dont have to have mega boards between countries just enough to get rid of the draw distance a few K's 10? anyway
I floated the idea by O'l mate Pencil42 who sent me some amazing scans!!! I asked Ian (Vulcan) if I might use his textures for the wooden dock spline and Ian kindly gave me his Gmax file so the interactive dock will match his spline ;) Big Thanks Ian ......
Dunno about buildings or animations yet as if it was generic it would match any country depending on the background buildings ect/foreground
and finaly some reasonable lowish poly people .................(for many uses)....OHhhhhhhhhhhh big day pulling the Dotz.....so anyway Das Boot(The Boat) is not always about so called naughty flags it's about IMAGIONATION/TRAINZ!..........................15K Crew 6 :eek:
