D L S Help

HI There

I've been away for a while,literallyas we have recently moved house. and I have just come back to trains,I have also treated myself to a copy of 2010,
now my problem is I have forgotten how to download stuff from the D. L. S.
so I need some help here,I have just recently purchased a twelve month
F. C. T. so every should work, i have also looked at the content manager screen,and that does't look anything like it does on my 2009 screen,also here is another question, how do I transfer my downloaded content from 2009,
to 2010,as it would be a big help.
by the way I love the old semaphore signals and the way they actualy work,just like they do in real life,now all I have to do is dig out my old printed files,which ones do what.

I hope your move went well. This one of those things that I really hate!

You can easily import your content from TS2009 by simply choosing import content from the File Menu. Point to TS2009 local folder and import your data. This process can and will take a very long time depending upon how much stuff you have. You then have to commit the data. Select all items and then press CTRL+M at the same time. This will add your content to the asset database. This process will take a long time too.

Note: You may see more errors than before. You'll need to repair the content prior to using it. There are many threads up on the forums regarding this, and don't be shy regarding questions on the repair process.

Would recommend when doing the transfer as John suggests, do so in batches rather than the whole lot in one go. That way, can break the job up, abort if something goes wrong without having to start from the beginning again etc.

RE-WIND ?

Hi There to Wolfie and JC, I sucsesfully transfered my downloads to 2010
but because I am unfamiliar with this new system, I lost it and what I got the second time, all the RAILYARD items came up in red,which of course means that the train stuff is useless, now if i have remembered it correctly,there is a way I can set my pc back a few days'to before I tried the downloads, can anyone help me out here ? CHEERS
