Cuttings

I'm perplexed as how to lower the terrain to accommodate track that's slightly underground. Is there any easy way to do this? I haven't discovered any so far. I have encountered a hilly section of a route, and would like to be able to see where the track is. It seems slightly less cumbersome than Railworks. But cuttings are something I've never really managed to pull off in this game so far.

Cheers.

I use the F9 function key to provide a wireframe view of where things are and the Plateau 'P' tool on the Topology menu to gradually profile a cutting. Press F9 a second time to return to normal view. You will likely have to provide a low spot to work from which you can do with the Height Down 'D' tool if necessary. Adjust the Radius and Sensitivity for both tools accordingly. Keep the cursor moving to prevent high/low spots. 'Undo' is 'Ctrl Z' which can be quicker than correcting something when you have been heavy handed. Peter
