Custom Content/Scenery

Trainz2010EE.

First post here! I just purchased this and did the SP3 build update patch.

I have a few questions:
In the Conrail Lincoln Secondary (and I am sure I will find more), I found some scenery elements that I really like! They have common names, so I will list and describe below...

US Level Crossing Tower - Similar to Grade Xing US OH 2L 2T, but looks better.

Traffic barrel road blink - A common raod construction barrel with a blinking beacon.

Traffic Light T-intersection - A hanging wired traffic light for a 3-way intersection.

Traf Light20 RedSign - A pole mounted traffic light showing a red signal, has 3 signal heads on the mast arm including turn signal head. Very modern for high traffic suburban areas.

SEN CITY Siding Gate 2 - A perfect gate for industrial sidings that are closed and locked when not in use.

Traffic Light - Just like the T-intersection hanging traffic light, except for this is for a full 4-way intersection.

How on earth can I use these elements in the layout I am building?! They are not in the content list!!

The next question is, where can I find any downloadable custom content? On the website, all I see is loco packs and container packs for intermodel. These are great and I plan to aquire them later. But for now I would like simple free downloads that are common scenery elements that you would find in a major US city/highway environment. Signs, traffic signals, construction barriers... ETC. Does anyone know of anything? PLEASE!

The last question:
Speedtreez. It is included in 2010EE, but the trees are in hyper mode! They move so unnaturally fast and alway are wiggling about like they are having jitters! LOL! Is there a way to slow them down? I picked an apple tree that in the preview was full and green, but I got an empty bare tree. Where are the options for SpeedTreez located? I am totally lost in how to customize SpeedTreez.

If anyone has any help to offer, I would be so grateful!!!!


Also, in the object menu, when you try to change an object height I see that it jumps in +/- 1.00' increments. Unlike previous versions that would allow you to make it at any height that you wanted and moved at +/- 0.01' increments. Is there a way to change this?!?!?

Anyone out there have any info about any of this?!?!?

If show favourites only (or similar wording) is checked, you will only see what the publishers of TS2010 think are favourites. Uncheck it, and all will be revealed. If the scenery objects appear in a built-in route, they must be there on your computer.

The next question is, where can I find any downloadable custom content?

On the Download Station. Click on the link in the forum heading. With luck and at the right time you can download without cost, otherwise you can buy a First-Class Ticket (often referred to here as a FCT).

You need to edit the environment, move the calendar to a date on which the tree would be full and green, as these trees respond to the date - which by defult seems to be the date on which you create a route. The effect is also dependent on geography - Northern or Southern hemisphere.

Keep asking questions - it's how I learned a lot about Trainz.

You can slow down the trees frantic waving by Main Menu > Edit Environmental > click the sun and move the Wind strength slider fully to the left.
