Custom bridge

My daughter has been there for about 4 years (in a house built in 1820). I've never been able to go up and look around - always have to stay here and babysit the house and the dog. Wife says its beautiful and always brings home lots of photos but nice as they are it ain't the same as the real thing.

Might get there in time for the LS meet but will probably be far to busy to attend (running around like the proverbial chicken with its head but off). Can always go next year (or if they have a spring meet).

Have to keep that in mind after we get settled. Haven't moved in 30 years and that was less the 5 miles. Did it in our station wagon and my daughters pick up truck. This is a lot more involved (and since its south to north its all uphill).:hehe:.

Do what the people in Los Angeles do with the junk they want to get rid of: pack it all in a storage locker and let someone else deal with it.

A possibility but instead we have been taking van loads to Goodwill, donating 100's of books to the local library, figuring out which kid wants what, and leaving gigantic piles of "stuff" at the curb. We put it out there a day or 2 before the normal garbage pickup which gives folks time to look thru it incase they want this and that. My oldest son is an antique dealer so we understand the concept of "one mans junk is another mans treasure". You wouldn't believe what some folks will take.

One of my sons is taking the baby grand piano - otherwise we were gonna donate it to one of the local churches. My wife and I both play and would have been nice to take but just not practical.

Regarding the comment,

I can say, "not quite". Best gas mileage I ever got was Northbound on IH 24, northbound out of Monteagle, TN. I put my old Ford Courier in neutral, turned off the engine 100 yards North of the summit on NB lanes, and did not burn an ounce of gas for 9 miles. Oh, and the odometer never dropped below 65, either.

I got extra details via PM:

Name your price and I will see what I can do. All i expect is a much larger version for the bridge you put on the dls same colors except without the nation's flags and markings. I want an extreme bridge that makes the current version look smaller 4 times the height from the main span and 5 times the length with a very shallow gradient of about .45% ascending and descending.
I am pretty sure I can make the bridge.
I am also pretty sure if I would ask you my commercial day rate, nobody will ever pay me :hehe: (plus I don't have the matching modelling skills; I make my value talking).

But the bad news is I am not going to ask or offer.
My other projects will keep me busy for at least another 2-3 months, if I don't get distracted (not even taking into account my new unpaid job here). Next to that, the new way TANE handles LOD really demotivates me trying large objects (which apparently is everything larger than a soccer field) again.

So...

Posted this so others know the details of what you are looking for. Maybe someone will jump up and create this mega bridge (or tell you it reminds him/her of an existing other bridge).
If I change my mind anytime soon, I'll let you know, but don't count on it.

pancakes with Jack Daniels syryup.

I aim to please.
