Crossover Protection

Haven't got TRS2019 yet still using TANE but question is the same for both
I currently have a route with numerous crossovers Protected by the ( trigger multiple signals rule ) so consists don't drive through each other on crossovers
The rule is set up in the session for that route so it only works for that session
If i create another session all these protect cross overs are no longer protected so consist ( a ) drives through consist ( B ) if they meet at the cross over

My Question

Is there any way to have these types of rules attached to the route so they are there regardless of the number of sessions created so they don't have to be
redone for each session.
In a Route the track work , signals and junctions remain the same regardless of sessions
The only variations to that route is the sessions added which should be the operational rules for the consists in that session the basic route structure track, signals and junctions doesn't change

Rules can only be associated with a session, to the best of my knowledge. But you could try the following.

- Take your working session and Save As a new session with a title like 'Base session' or whatever makes best sense to you.
- Edit that session to remove all rules except those which you want to apply to every new session you create (including your trigger multiple signals rule).
- Re-save as your 'base' session.

This can now be the starting point for any new session you wish to create for the route (remember to use Save As <new session name> before making any changes).

In as much as the road crossings and track diamonds are permanent features of the route, it makes more sense to me to use boat's ATLS and ASB resources, saved to the route, to control these where possible. [ASB I've had no trouble with. ATLS is more picky and there are situations where it does not provide prototypic action.]

Vostrail's solution is what I use with atilabarut's My Level Crossing-3 and -3a rules; I set them up in the route's Basic Session and then create child sessions off that. Grandchild sessions will automatically inherit the rule unless you remove it.

:B~)

Hi

You can copy and paste rules from one session to another in Tane quite easily. I use it to copy the Schedule Library between sessions without any problems. Highlight the rule or rules that you want to copy and right click to bring up the menu. Click copy and then in your new session just click on the rules box, right click to bring up the menu and click on paste.

So far I haven't tried it in TS19 but it should work ok.

All my crossovers are protected by Directional Markers blocking the path of AI drivers in the X track ... I must manually drive across a crossover X track, driving manually
