"Crossing isn't named" AI Train Message - Not Clear on Meaning?

Does the word crossing mean a road crossing or a track crossing? Or, perhaps does it mean a switch/junction?

Does it meant the next one in the path or could it be anyone in the path?

It refers to road crossings or level crossing depending on where you are. I have noticed this in ECML where at the start it reports that there are four "crossing isn't named". When driving the route the warning comes up again as you approach the crossings.
