Why do you need a credit card now. People have paypal precisely because we don't have a credit card.
I have been working with trainz since 2004.
So we can't buy anything anymore.
No more buying a First Class Ticket. This is worthless.
After so many years, you can't do anything anymore.
Paypal is faster, Simpler and safer you say, unfortunately not, because not all people have a credit card, neither do I.
This is the stupidest thing you've ever done, the obligatory credit card. Think a lot of people can't do anything with trainz anymore.

And where in your image does it say you can't use PayPal?

Am I missing something in translation?

I just used Paypal to pay for the Trainz Plus. Worked same as before.

I have a credit card, a debit card and a Paypal account. I also have cash (which has been little used during this pandemic).

I paid for my Trainz Plus subscription using my Credit Card because I chose to instead of using Paypal which was an option - so I don't really see the problem the OP is talking about.

My debit card only works within Australia, New Zealand and a few nearby Pacific Islands such as Fiji. The purchase had to be made in US $ from a site in the USA, so I could not use that.

I had no way of inserting my banknotes into my computer.

There is also the facility through PayPal to link payments to your bank account, debit card. That will allow international payments to be processed. I really don't see what the OP has a problem with, the image clearly states credit card OR PayPal.

Whats the question exactly? You can use paypal and you can use a CC.. You dont need to tie paypal to your/a CC you can tie it to your bank account/Debit Card.. TBF though Paypals protections now are so poor I would stick with the CC

OP has not read that popup correctly, I'd guess as not a native English speaker? he has misinterpreted what it says.

You can use a credit card or you can use paypal without a credit card or you can use a credit card with Paypal, no different to how it's been for a long time, I pay N3V via Paypal, no cards involved.

Trainz Members:

Just a personal note I like Steam purchases, and I rarely use a Debit or Credit card on the internet.
Look just a thought, it would be advantageous if a Trainz user could purchase Fast Data Download First Class Ticket passes (7 day, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year) etc directly from Steam using Steam Wallet Cards purchased from the supermarket.
