Create map from downloaded route?

Hello All,

I was wondering, is there an easy way to create a reference map from routes you have not created yourself?
The only thing I can think off is creating a bunch of screenshots of the route's onscreen map and paste them together in a paint program as a layer to start with.
Is there an easier way to accomplish this that I'm missing to find, or is the above the only way?

I think Transdem, Trainz Edition will work. You can import track splines into a DEM map.
If it's a prototypical route, you may have a problem with the World Origin not in the right place.

Try TrainzMap from VistaMare Software here: http://www.vistamaresoft.com/

Thanks for the info.
Sadly, after numerous tries and following the instructions to the letter, I haven't been able to install SP1 for my Just Trains version of TRS2006 allthough it did work approx. two years ago when it was first released.
So I guess, I'm out of luck.

What version & SP of Windows are you running?
I just re-installed TRS2006 and SP1 on my system running Win XP Pro with SP3. You may get an error about a file not being found on the system, but that's normal.

As said the Just Trains UK Dvd version of TRS2006, build 2773 and trying to get SP1 version 2773->3099 up and running. Windows is indeed XP pro + SP3. However, I didn't see an error about a missing file, I just get the message to put the correct CD in the drive every time I get up the courage to try again and start up TRS2006 after patching... ;-)) Scanning several posts on this matter the suggestion is a virus scanner is throwing a spanner in the works, but of course it has been switched off every time. Maybe I try to uninstall it completely before trying again. I'm using AVG free 8.0 b.t.w.
All in all it's getting a quite frustrating exercise...
