corrupt 12g

During install of TS12, I get a corrupt file "12g" message that stops the install. Anyone know which of the 5 bins this comes out of?

Welcome to the forums.

If it's a digital download, I'd advise re-downloading all of the .bin files using a download manager.

If it's a boxed version, it indicates a disc problem.

it is digital download and I am downloading again but only with Windows 7 download manager, no indications of interruptions
do you think outsourcing the download will help?

The N3V recommended tool is Free Download Manager, which can be downloaded from http://freedownloadmanager.org/.

Do not rely on a web browser to handle such large downloads, as even one tiny interruption can corrupt it.

Thanks Shane, I tried the free download and it immediately started screwing with my system so I uninstalled it. It was messing with my screens and user settings and to me, that's very suspicious software.

That's worrying - I will mention that one to Helpdesk.

Any download manager program is suitable for the job - just don't rely on your web browser alone. I personally use Download Accelerator Plus (DAP).

FDM has to integrate with your browser / system otherwise it won't work properly it's not designed as a stand alone program. It's got a lot of new features though, which is probably going to scare a PC novice off installing it and not needed for just a simple, use occasionally download manager.
