Correcting Mishaps in Driver

Having spent a long time in driver with trains running OK I then find a track broken.
Is there any way I can re-connect the broken track and then continue the Driver session without having to start another driver session from the beginning.

I know I have to go into surveyor to correct the fault but its very frustrating having to restart my driver session from new again.
Maybe I am reading something wrong between the meaning of sessions driver etc etc.
Assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Tonytony,

I am not sure about the mac version but in the PC version you close driver and click on "SAVE" The session will be save as a driver session, you will not be able to edit the driver session but you can edit the route. When restarting the session click on "drive session" NOT edit session, your train will then be where it was when you saved the driver session.

Unfortunately using a saved driver session (one saved in Driver) will not work if you have to make Surveyor changes as the saved driver session requires there to be no changes made to the route or session in Surveyor.

You could use "The Hand of God" to re-rail your consist on the other side of the broken rail and then continue with your session. Like this (full screen / 1080p):

Well it works for me. Don't tell me I am the only one it works for? I have used the method I described above quite a few times and never had any problems.

In this particular instance I have changed the smoke on the UPRR CSA-2 3820 loco and have also added an industry to the track layer on the route.
