I'm trying to get my created route from TRS2006 to TC so's that i can have there metro north in my game how do i do this if i can.

Open up CMP in 2006 and find your route and select it. Right click on it and choose make CDP from the menu and name it anything you want. Save it to your desktop. A CDP symbol should now show on your desktop. Close 2006's CMP and open TC's CMP. Click on the CDP to select it and drag it anywhere into the list in CMP. It will self install. Commit it if you need to by checking open for edit to see if it needs to be commited. You are done. Click on the route and check its dependencies. If you need to download any go ahead and do it.

Better idear

If the route has lots of download content, use the arcive feature.

select the route in cmp, right click and select all, make sure check all is clicked andtell it to continue. once the arcive screen comes up select arcive and give it a name. you will have the route with all its download content but will be missing built in items

Go in to TC CMP and use setting and add the arcive to TC. Once you done that goto to the file and double click on it when TC CMP show say yes to install items.

a long way but it does work.

If you want to get the dependencies for your route from TS2006 to TC.

Right click the route in TS2006 and click>"View Dependencies"

A dialog box will pop up. Click View in Main List

Now select all those assets. Click Save to .cdp

Now all the deps for that route is in a single .cdp

Open on CMP in TC and drag that single .cdp into TC CMP and the assets should be installed.

It's quite possible that you can't. At very least you will have to change the build number, and possibly change or remove some tags. At worst the files formats may have changes so much that it just can't be done.

I am presuming that you bought TC1&2 and TRS2006 in a 2 disc set, packaged together. Why would you want to put a TC route into TRS2006, or TRS2006 route into TC ?

What purpose would this serve ?

I can see trying to convert a TRS2006 route, so that TRS2004 users would be able to use it. But I am not sure that is possible, to make versions backwards compatable.
