I would advise you do an extended database repair in Content Manager.

This usually fixes this issue.

If it does not, I can find a relevant thread on updating content using Content Manager.

Hi Again,
Done extended data base repair via content manager the results were 2207 errors , 92 warnings , Its got rid of the Red warning button and I can now download the updates but I still have 1,037 items to download ,Is there a way to highlight more that just one at a time then download because it`ll take ages otherwise ,
Anyway many thaks for your help so far

content manager wont start now

Oh Dear , switched the computer off to have my evening meal , came back and now The `Content Manager` wont start, Tranz it self starts normally !

anyone help ?

For the attention of Shane

Hi shane,
thanks for your reply and I'm sorry to bother you yet again, you ask what all the reports I'm getting when I try to start up content manager, well after I click on `Content Manager` the cursor flashes for about 10 seconds then does nothing at all, it doesn't give me any messages or reports of what has happened, it's just as though content manager doesn't exist, strangely enough when I click on the Tranz icon the program starts normally as does every other icon in the list, I did try to follow the instructions regarding------

Open the Content Manager.
In the "Search" menu, choose "Built In" and add a line to choose "Out of Date".

When the display panel (Assets) shows those items, use the Edit Command at the top of CM to choose "Select All".
ect ect , but for some reason that didn't work in fact it crashed or should I say it stalled the computer so that I had to press control/alt and delete to get out, I'm wondering if somehow it has damaged the Content Manager?

Perhaps it would have been better if I had just downloaded each item individually ?,
Regards John

Further for shane

Fortunately I make a regular habitof backing up the Tranz2010 folder in its entirety to an external hard, I suppose as a last resort I could just import it back onto my D drive, and then do an extended database repair then just download the 1,037 updates individually rather than trying to follow instructions on how to download them all at once, it's just a nuisance having to reinstall all 13.7 GB which is now the size of my trains folder

Sure - I've got no problem helping others, hence why I have nearly 6,000 posts (and don't worry, you have not wasted my time at all)

You may want to bookmark the link I posted in an earlier post in this thread (the command-line database repair one) as that may get you out of trouble if an asset causes Content Manager to not start.
