content updates

hi all,

i brought the game on the 15/7 downloaded etc etc no problems so far (apart from something i wanted to download)

on the main sceen when you start it kept coming up with 268 updates availible i ignored these as i wasn't too sure if i needed them, so today i am trying to look for scenarios to d/l and read the manual (for once)

so apparently it is recommended to download all of the updates for one reason or another ok lets go and download them in that case.

730.48MB to download wow why was this not included with my donloaded version of the game? ok download them anyway.... @ 5kb/s so that would mean at those speeds to update just what needs updating now i would have to leave it going for appox 320 hours!

am i the only one who things something is wrong with this?

Because it would basically be impossible to produce a new version of the downloadable program for every asset update. As for the speed, a First Class Ticket will take care of that.

ok not for every asset update maybe but surely it takes a while for that amount of updates to acculmelate? so why not once it reaches 500mb from the default game release them as a single patch with a reasonable download speed?

as for the first class ticket i was considering it and even on the DLS i got an offer for a 20% discount clicked it and was told that it has expired.... whats that about (already sent a support ticket asking why).

and like i said i have not long brought the game but unless i buy the ticket i can only download 100mb of updates a day... which means it would probably be 2-3 weeks before i have all of the updates as of now not to mention ones that may come out in the mean time.....


EDIT: the actual size of the downloads needed to be upto date are.... 1.76GB+

Francis5653 you do not have to install the updates before you can use the game. There is also a faster method of getting the updates (with and without a First Class Ticket) - you can use this method to get as many of the updates as you can handle in one day.
