Content updates -what are they?

Just purchased trainz and i see that there are lots of content updates. Since I'm given the option to install then via the in-game menu i was wondering if these are official updates to content or are they user created. Should I always install all of them? I was just afraid that I would overwrite an object made by the developers with something cheesy made by Joe schmo

The large number of updates currently, are in the main to make older faulty items compatible with 2010 and TS12.

Most objects are built by the users, even those that are builtin.
There are obviously normal updates as well, where a creator has improved or changed something or corrected a problem.

If it's in the in game update, then you will probably need it updating for TS12, however there are some items that were not fixed properly, there is a thread about that on here http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=68738&highlight=DLS+Repair
