Content Update question trouble?

When I start my Trainz 12 build 49922 it shows 40 items in the "content Update" window.

I go to the content update window and it shows the 40 items. I click on "download all" and a small download window popups. and after the cd verifaction message the "download all" button appears. But the "download" button doesn't. (Both buttons have always appeared before.)

Anyway when I click on the "download all" button it is replaced with a "Stop All" button but nothing else happens. No downloads occur even after waiting for over an hour.

Does anyone know what is going on???

Any ideas will be appricated.
Dave

PS: I THINK it happened after I started trainz. You know how it sometime goes automatically into a database repair or check.

I just checked mine, and it is performing as you said yours did previously, so I guess you have something happening out of the ordinary.

I think the content update window has a multitude of problems. In fact I wonder why it is there at all. CM handles all the updating, installing and committing functions. I run 2010EE and before the last patch the update window showed 7 items, and woudn't d/l any of them. After the 49933 patch it says there are 949 items to upgrade, but when you go into the d/l page it is blank - with or without the gold star hi-lited, and nothing happens when you hit 'download'.
Therefore I rely on CM and disregard the content update manager.

No Problems...

 In the Out of Date tab, select all(Ctrl+A), RMB-View Asset Versions, View in Main List.

In Text View, click the Installation Date to group all Download Station assets into one group. Select these, RMB-Download.

If some do not download, try again tomorrow.

Backyard

Thanks for the information. However I have over 28,000 items that are out of date and a very slow DLS.

In addition. Trainz said it would take a very long time so i decided to wait until I had a lot of time to try it.

Until then I'll just live with the 40 items that need to be updated

@ backyard.

No probs, I would never have sorted that out without help.

I said in my last post " I have 329mb downloading as I type this."
I spoke too soon, obviously CM was still calculating - the downloads added up to 2.36Gb. Luckily I have an FCT, but I'll spread it out over a few days.
