Content Manger 2.0 -- Search with wild cards

In Content Manager (TS 2009, but I think it is the same in 2006 and TC3) I sometimes want to search with wild cards -- in particular I want to search for the first part of a KUID so for 213782* for example -- so I find everything from user 213782 (this is an example only) -- if I know the user name then I can use that, but I don't always. I have been sorting the whole list by KUID and scrolling to find it, but there must be a better way.

This is not an important thing in the grand scheme of things but I have wasted much time on it.

Another example might be to search for kuid 1942:37028 in some way so that the item 1942:37028:4 would be found. So search for 1942:37028* -- but I know by experience that Trainz does not use the '*' as a wild character.

cheers

Found an answer...

Tried the novel appproach of checking the help file (whoops, silly me). Found that searching for Author = #999999 will work for the first and main part of my question.

Sorry to have bothered the list...

So now it is just how to search for 999999:8888 and find 999999:8888:7
