Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I'm not being blinded by the forums! (My optician suggested I may be developing a cataract earlier this year which they want to keep an eye on, so I have a sense of where you're at with this John.)
Thak you so much for this "trick." I am very partial to dark backgrounds as I use my computer at night during darkened house rules. The white background gets very tiring to my eyes, and this is bliss.

It wasn't fun, but it wasn't that bad either. Yes, the 'eye center' is located in Andover - about 15 minutes away down Route 125. My brother took the backway through Boxford and North Andover and there's zero traffic that way.
Today, the left eye is sharp and clear just like the right eye. I'm still putting drops in both and will be for another month, but that's not that bad. Besides, I'm already putting drops in multiple times during the day for something else and these new ones four times a day work into the schedule pretty easily.

While I think it's correct to assume that N3V do not read the Forums very intently, I do believe there is some monitoring still going on. Perhaps it was an exceptional case, but when the Hotfix for SP6 was being developed, the N3V newsletter specifically stated that they had benefitted from the various posts on this topic on the Forums. And those posts reporting problems with SP6 were not only in N3V's own thread announcing the SP6, but in other threads as well.
I would simply amend to say that N3V does not monitor the Forums closely. For that matter, they do not monitor Discord closely, which is only reasonable.
