content manager not responding

I can get into content manager from start menu but try to do anything and it freezes, can load game from start menu ok. saving route now about 30g worth wil take a while.

That sounds a little like a problem I have with CM in TS12 SP1. N3V have said that it was a known fault for that version.

If you do a re-install I'd be inclined to do an install into a new folder and leave the existing one alone. I believe Shane has advice for copying existing content from a faulty installation.

something quite weird has happened I reloaded cont manager and now it works running ex database repair now ,im buggered as to what that is all about??????

I'm guessing it was a problem or corruption somewhere in the database. i.e. CM was unable to display the list of assets based on your last applied filter and was running an endless loop.

If you are able to and there's a lot of assets in the Download Helper panel, click the Clear button at the bottom of that panel before it freezes.

just in case you miss my post , i was going into cm to load it came up ok, as i was going to go to task manager to see if it was running, it seems the load reload in quick succession jump started it, buggered if i know, but thanks dont know what we would do without you, really would like to have a go at fixing faulty stock and content creation
