Since my Content Manager fails to to load everytime with this Windows error:

"Content Manager Plus has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

does that mean I'm not going to be able to load any new content?

I'm new at Trainz but no stranger at all to Windoze. I have reinstalled and applied the latest patches.

You're not missing anything. Even if you could get it to run it's permanently spitting out a 'server full' error so you can't download anything anyway

Hi Grover...

I had this problem for a while, the only way I found around it was to add all the things to the download cart, then go to download all and press start when they are in, may take a while. If it says it has ecounted a problem, ignore it and hit start...Works for me.

Hope this helps;)

What are the other specs of your PC? Like your video card, Windows version, how much space, etc.

Run Trainzdiag to make sure that your machine meets the specs to run the program. I do know that CMP likes Open/GL, and if you have an incompatable video card, you may have problems running the program.

To get more information about your PC, you can run msinfo32.exe from a command prompt [1] or from the Run... option in the start menu. This will bring up a gui program that gives you all kinds of information about your PC. This information can be saved to a text file and copied into the forum here for us to look at.

DXDiag, also run from the Run... option will give more specific information about your sound and video card.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

John

[1] If you're using Vista, you need to open a command prompt with Administrator priveldeges.
