Most of this topic and debate has already been covered in at least 3 different huge threads.
The reason why the 04/06 DLS is going to be unsupported is: The cost of maintaining the (3)...Auran 04 (Black Pages DLS), the 06 Game DLS, and the 09/10 DLS. Requiring 3 banks of separate servers. And too, many of the creators in 04/06 have made typo errors and mistakes in the config files, and many assets no longer work, or have irrepairable missing dependencies. And too, the idiocy of creators naming assets with foriegn language, and names that do not describe the asset at all, and have no thumbnail picture at all. Example: "Koleje_Drevo", "Extremente Voie", Paintshed Reskin, or "People"...etc...etc...
The main point...Download your assets while you can...before September...there is no debate...Git Er' Done !

I downloaded 17.6Gb of assets on a 7 day FCT...I now have every car and loco known to US & Canada. (Of course my PC is almost locked up now...I wonder why). My Auran program measures 37.8Gb:hehe:
EDIT: An apology to foriegn language users, but English IS the major global language, that should be a learned as a second lanquage to all non-English speaking Countries, or you will be left by the wayside. It doesn't make much sence to upload an asset to a Global community, with a non-descript asset description of: " تبديل آلة كهربائية "
