Firstly, thanks to you and John Whelan for replies to my previous question regarding Computer Spec.

Paul you said if i was not ready to move on to 2009 or 2010 to try TS3.
I must be honest i purchased TRS2009 last year and was not greatly impressed I prefer TRS2006 but i would like to try TS3. I spend most of my time making up layouts, but as i like lots of detail to add realalism to my layouts, my trains run jumpy and stop and start. As i am not computer literate, i am not sure what type of system to buy. Budget being max £550 excluding Monitor.
Can you give advise on the Computer Spec i should look for. (Strictly in Laymans Terms Please). Thank you once again,
kind regards

cOMPUTER SPEC.

John, thank you for the info regarding the Zoostorm Computer,i checked it out on E-bay. Well within budget, think i will settle on it. thanks again

Hi Ken

Looks like John beat me to a response, but, as he know much more about computer things than I do, you've almost certainly received better advice! The only thing I'd add is if you had a bit of extra money and could get the video card up from a GTS to a GTX spec, then you might see a benefit. As you might with an extra 2GB of RAM, but this is all going to inflate the cost.

I agree with John that, with the quad core and the Nvidia card, you might want to consider going up to TS10 rather than back to TC3. If you do, please consider the Settle and Carlisle add-on - not just a great route, but also loads of great rolling stock and assets for those with a UK interest, and all working in TS10 native mode.

Hope this works for you!

I'm not certain there are upgrade options available but you could inquire. I agree with Paul they would be nice to have but the package as it stands should be fairly good.

Cheerio John
