complete beginner tutorial

hi, is there a complete beginner tutorial for driving trains somewhere on the web, i don't mean for the controls because the tutorial scenarios in the game are great for them, but I mean the actual driving of a train, tips for spotting speed limits, slowing down on time, etc.

Things like that.

Try http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Trainz if what you want isn't there you can always start to add things as you come across them.

tips for spotting speed limits

In TRS2004 there's an alternative built-in HUD (head-up display) that shows the next speed limit, the current track gradient and the total distance you've travelled in a session. I'm not sure if it's available in TRS2006 or TS2009 though. To configure a session to use it you don't need to download anything, just load the session in Surveyor and then:

• Edit Session Rules > Add > Display Custom HUD > Click the OK tick
• Left click once on "Display Custom HUD" so as to select it > Edit > Select the "Show the custom heads up display" option > Click the OK tick
• Click the OK tick to exit "Edit Session Rules"

Then when you run the session it will be operative.

Also, Razorback Railway activities display the next speed limit, plus the next signal and junction states.
