Coal Country 2019 Updated .....

Almost completed the expanded "Wood & Chuck Lumber Co."....changed the road and made a staging area for the log trucks going down for loading and for trailers being loaded by the small mill:

Nice!

That's one way to show innovation, evolution, and adaption from a single industry to a diversified industrial base. The good news is the RF&P will continue to soldier on carrying various commodities once the coalmines close complete.

Well, after some hits and misses, I made some custom signs for the new mill area. Hope you all like it: Say hello to the "Woodchuck Sawmill Co."

Since I made new signs for the mill area, I might as well add some to the logging trucks as well. I reskinned Dave Snow's logging trucks and also made sure each version had its own individual # assigned to it: #'s 3500, 3501 and 3551

The countdown for JR's offer to your route enhancements has started now ...
I expect their offer soon. ;-)
Thanks for your excellent contributions.

Since we now have a Woodchuck Lumber Co. , I guess it would be appropriate to have a lumberyard truck fleet. Some models I am working on, "patched" and unpatched:

Almost forgot, new forklift driver too:

Also touched up the creek by adding a culvert and some lillypads and deer, cleaned up the access road with a fence and gate with RR property sign:

Another weekend and another update:

I decided to add a little more space to the Woodchuck Lumberyard area for log storage and add larger overhead doors. I reskinned the color of the door frame to better fit the building.

Next up, I added a new industry to the area below that was nearby the Woodchuck Lumberyard/Grain silo area. Below is the original space and then the updated area. Still need to add signs and more details, probably will make it a Corn Syrup truck/rail distributor:
