CMP PROBLEM HELP!!!!

Everytime I try and edit anything through CMP I get this error message saying (unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application) then I click OK and get this after (the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) any ideas on y I am having this problem

windows XP I have never had this problem before I recently formated my computer and ever since then its been doing this

The likely missing component is either .Net Framework 2.0 or Visual C++ Redistributable 2005/2008.
