CMP crashes off-line all the time.....

Is there a secret code or setting so I may use CMP off-line. It crashes a lot on-line anyway. It always crashes off-line while editing files. Forum search not helpful. Any ideas?. Thanks, ocala.

Edit: "Just hit the Esc key and continue working" Very good suggestion. Will try that. Thank you all, ocala.

Ocala,

I don't know what Build of Trainz you have, but I used to have major problems with my CMP in build 3337. I found out it was always attempting to go online. It also happened in Surveyor, which was pretty maddening!

I also found that there is such a thing as Windows autodial that lets programs dial out. I turned it off, and have no more problems in the Trainz 2006 CMP, (using it offline). In my Trainz Classics, I still have to go online to use it properly. but no problem in Surveyor. Maybe this is not your problem, but just thought I'd tell you.

(of course, I'm on dial-up which might be different)!:o

Best of luck on this. Bob P.

Generally, CMP will attempt to connect to the Auran site to verify your password and then to the DLS in order to display the DLS content available for download. That's how it's designed .
However, If you unplug your net connection, CMP will pop up a message that says it's unable to connect to Auran. Just hit the Esc key and continue working. Occasionally, the mesage will pop up again. Hit Esc. again. etc.

CMP should not crash under these circumstances. Something else is wrong if you are experiencing crashes.

Cheers

I find I must agree with Nawlins, using the escape key at any instance of a pop up message will usually clear up any problem with CMP.
