Changing Colors
You can change the colors in @12 Windows things like "search panes", tool bars.......but you'll never get rid of the blinding white color background of the CMP, and white background of all webpages.
I had everything altered, so everything was subtle shades of gray and blue...but the WHITE was always there...
I changed my PC monitor setting to warmer, less contrasting and everything under the sun.
I even trashpicked a brownish/gold smoked glass from an old discarded coffee table and duct taped it to my PC screen. Now it looks like viewing through yellow/gold sunglass's. I even tried those goofy wrap around sunglass's that fit over top of regular glass's, and Blue Blocker night vision driving sunglass's.
What exactly are you looking for....soothing colors ?
Try these:
Perforated Vision Training Glass's-Carol Wright's Gifts $7.99 USD...Believe it or not...these DO work, as it give a pinhole lens view to the focal point of your eye...but may have some minor side effects, such as blindness, difficulty driving a vehicle, sudden unexpected death, or even worse. If should you experience sudden unexpected death, that persists for 4 or more hours, contact your physician immediately.

I just about figured out all the custom colors to add to Windows/Disable/Use Custom colors.
I use a light Gray, a Darker almost Black/Gray, and a light pastel powder Blue ... RBG factors upcomming: _ _ _
