A couple of days back I commented that I have not had any of the common problems that inflicted others on the forum. I spoke too soon.
History.
I wanted to make CM3.6 update the DLS listing to check on my recently uploaded content.
I read a post that advised doing a EDR. Did an EDR, and a QDR. Did not work. Neither returned any errors
I read a post that advised deleting and re-entering user name and password. This had an effect, I am now told that my details are missing and CM will work offline. Since then I have re-entered them both several times in CM and the Launcher. I have repeated the EDR to no avail. CM knows my KUID, it can tell me how many days I have on my ticket but it will not see my details. I am offline in both CM and Trainz.
I did a network diagnostic test from 'Settings' and that found no errors. Incidentally, in this process, 2009 is checked, but there is no mention of TS12. I even tried registering again in case those were the details lost, only result was to tell me I was already registered.
It is not a connection problem, a parallel TS12 installation will download content but that does not update the DLS list.
Considering the above, what else can I do, apart from a plea to the Helpdesk.
