Cloning a route ?

I have not long ago installed TS12 and have dabbled in most of the previous versions over the years.
I thought I would start having a go at route designing and to begin with play around with an existing route. What I would like to do is clone an existing route and then alter the clone and I see various references to cloning but no real explanation of what to do. I have looked in CMP and I thought I could open a route and then save it under a different name and work on that. Is this the way to go or is there some other way ? Any help would be appreciated.

the trick to cloning is simple once cloned edit and commit...after right click on it schroll down to create new version then commit that.....then delete the cloned version and work the new one......

Hi Mike - Open the route in Surveyor and save as <new name>. The new route will have your user kuid number.

A default session will be created. You can choose your own name for the session when saving it.

When opening the now cloned route, choose to Edit the Session rather than the Route.

Once the session is open, select the layer tab (second from bottom on the right) and click on the upper panel to edit the route.

Cheers - Trevor
