Clear Lake Logging Co.?

I downloaded the [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Clear Lake Logging Co. but I can't figure out how to play it on my Trainz simulator 2009? It doesn't show up on the in game pick a route list. Thanks!

Clear Lake V2,<kuid:86661:9450288> is 2005 and will have less problems in TS2009.

Thanks for the help. I'm downloading V2 right now. Should I go back and erase V1 or does it matter? Once I downland V2 will it be in the list of routes I can play? Thanks again and sorry for all the questions but I'm brand new to any of these games other then ps3 games.

I download V2 and I got this massage:

Don't hesitate to ask questions. THats why we're here.

If you don't delete version one of the route, it will still be there. CM2 will recognise each route as a completely seperate entity. It goes by KUID number, and has nothing to do with the route name. You can leave it there and it won't hurt anything, but it will occupy disc space on your hard drive. If disc space is at a premium, you can delete the old one thru CM2.

Once you have the new route DLed and installed it will appear in your Surveyor list of routes. It will NOT appear in the Driver list until you create a session for the route in Surveyor. If you've never created a session before, all you need to do is open the route in Surveyor, and just simply place a loco on the track somewhere, save it, and go to Driver.

I think we're both posting here at the same time. You post about the error message just popped up after I submitted my first post.

The Kuid the error message refers to is the "Portal Basic Short" which I understand doesn't work in '09. I have the same error message for that asset in my '09, but Clear Lake v2 works just fine. You just won't be able to do any portal-type stuff on the route as it is.

If you're not intending to use the portal, you can enjoy the rest of the route and simply ignor the problem. If, however, you do want to use the portal, you'll have to open the route in Surveyor, delete the Portal Basic Short and replace it with a different portal. I understand the Portal Basic HP works in '09, but I haven't used it too much. (Yet)

I would like to download a Shay, Climax and a Heisler, I found a Heisler and a climax to download, I download them and then went to Surveyor mode and they were in the list of trains but it wouldn't show a pic of them and the lettering was in a different color and it would not let my put one in. Do you know why and where can I find a shay? Thanks!

The pink color in the Surveyor list, and the failure to show, are indications that the asset is "Faulty". TS2009 is a lot pickier than prior versions of Trainz, and we're finding a lot of assets that used to work that no longer do. When you DL something and install it, check it in CM2 before you fire up Trainz. Refer to your manual for the specifics on this, but CM2 will tell you pretty much what is wrong with the asset. Some errors you can fix, others not. It might take you a little while to get your head into Trainz before you want to get into this, as its a fairly steep learning curve.

I downloaded the trains but they ended up showing up red and I can't use them. : (
