Edit: Started to make the new signals yet? I can't get NSW signals in TRS04

Hi Dean,

I will start working on the signals once I have finalised the Tangara models and added the new Catenary models to the project. Estimated start on the Signals in July.

That would be great if you could achieve that. I am looking at the Tangara doors opening and closing at stations but as yet don't know how to do this...... but i will figure this out.

Yes... there will definitely be platform announcements . I have a number of sound bytes I can use and edit but i may try to contact Cityrail themselves and see if I can get a more extensive library to work with....... or record myself.

But yes..... station announcements will definitely be there.

Roy,

You should ask around on Railpage for appropriate sounds, as many people there work for CityRail and have the program that CityRail uses to make those sounds.This would be the best way to go, and if you ask nicely you should be able to get any sound you need.

I havn't decided yet. If it is payware it will not cost an arm and a leg....... I assure you. Most likely enough to cover postage costs if not downloadable.

Due to the huge power issues across Sydney and the Central Coast, the pictures in this post are not online at the moment. As my blog is also housed on my home server, the blog is out of action too.

Speaking to Energy Australia, they have record numbers of power issues and I have no idea when they will restore power.

I am assuming that the blog may be down for 24 hours. Just wanted to let people know in case they noticed my blog was off the air. And unless i can rig together some rechargable batteries for the laptop, no work on the project either till hopefully tomorrow.

Power is back but both my hard drives on the blog server have been zapped despite expensive power protection I had on the line.

This means the blog will be down for a couple of days as I rebuild the server and the blog. Good news is the project is safe and well backed up.

My blog and 14 months of screenshots will be back as soon as I get my server back online.
