City & Suburb- UK Edition

Hey Guys!

I'm back again with a new project! Inspired by Paulzmay with his Bridgehampton Metro, I have started a new series... City & Suburb!

The first system is based on a UK-style light rail system similar to Manchester's Metrolink. There is a proposal of 4 lines going from the suburbs to the main hub in the town/city centre with the addition of
a 5th line being the town/city centre circulator. At the moment
there are no names used so far on this project, as I've yet to even start with stations. I've had thoughts on what to call the region, but I want to ask YOU, as a community to help me choose the name. This layout will also contain heavy conventional commuter rail from a large terminus or hub in the town/city and will extend further out to the suburbs and industrial districts. May I mention, this series is a TC-ONLY exclusive. Here is a residential suburb near the town/city centre:

Good mornig Isaacq,

i did always hate messages like "what a lovely screen, where is the track from" :hehe: , but on your screen is one - for me - particularly interresting detail. In the background a light rail or tram coach is to be observed. It looks like our articulated trams in Budapest, Hungary :)

What is that vehicle? Is it on the DLS? Or where do You have it from?

I am waiting Your answer patiently... and wish good advance with Your layout.

Cheers:

Don't worry Sura, I'm not mad(I do that sometimes too ;))... Infact, the LRV is by Cosey(On the DLS). It starts with the letters BN LRV... the rest just signifies the company and paint scheme....

.... Its equiped with P-Dehnert's Destination Board script. The model contains textures that you can reskin to accomodate your route(at the moment it's acommidating the City & Suburb US Edition names :O)

Hello Isaac,

I don't have TC but am always one to encourage our younger trainz community members whenever possible, wherever you may be in the world. This looks a great screenshot for a first off, I wish you well with your little project for the future, I'm sure you will gain lots of interest over the next few weeks.

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

P.S. How about using your name for a layout title, Marchant Grove seems quite British and has a nice sound to it.....
