Whos that guy?
For the past few days, ive been working on a model railroad based on Chicago.
There is a little backround to this (a fictional railroad and some locations)
Amtrak Chicago-- Metra fell under purchase by Amtrak, all equipment (coaches and F40's) have been repainted to Amtrak PIII.
19th Street - Union Station location. Sitting outside the station is the 19th Street Interlocking, referred to as "Jones" on the Amtrak/CNW system. It is a large interlocking. 3 tracks belonging to the former GM&O (Trackage owned by Amtrak, as a vital connection to Union Station, and EJE., 2 tracks belonging to the former IC (now owned by EJ&E/INDR (the INRD was bought out by EJE on this layout) , and 3 tracks belonging to the CN&W (the main focus of this layout, using mainly GP35's and SD60's (i need to get my JR budget in order!). The Interlocking is served by a still operating tower manned by E.J.E and Amtrak Employees , 6 AM - 8 PM (14 hour shifts) and then by CNW Tower Operators at night (When all the freight traffic switches on to the GM&O and EJE)
19th Street Yard (Owned by Amtrak. No longer a freight yard). - Just outside the interlockings, holding up a CNW roundhouse and steam fueling point (Owned and Operated by the CNW Steam Historical Society, owning some CIL&M engines, CN&W steamers, and a UPRR Challanger).
Historcial Society Holding Point (west of the yard).
As shown in the following screenshots, F40's, P42's and F7's run the Amtrak operations, while CNW SD60's, SD40-2's and GP35's run the freight aspect.
This route will probably not be released, Sorry to say.
