Check Signal Rule?

Is there a rule (not Driver Command) to check a signal state? There is the Check Trackside rule, but that only operates on the presence of a train at a junction, trigger or trackmark.

I just want to check on the state (or aspect) of a signal. Can this be done?

No replies, so that's a NO then.

But I have found the Signal Link object. I've not checked it thoroughly yet, but it seems to do just what I need. Problem solved.
