Changing switch stands

I am thinking about building my own route in TS12. How do you change those ugly switchstands to better ones. I have downloaded better ones from the dls.

Welcome, Michaeleba. In Surveyor, when you make a junction, the switch stand is automatically generated for you. All you have to do to change it is go to the Track tab, click on Trackside objects, and choose the the remove button. Then click on the switch stand you wish to remove. After it's gone, choose another one from the list and click on the junction again and your new switch stand will appear! There's quite a few to choose from!

You can also use the replace assets to swap all the levers for a switchstand, or edit the region you use to add that switchstand by default instead of the lever.

Obviously you have to choose left or right for a switchstand, then replace with the other one for any junction that is too close to another track to rotate for the correct indication.

Hello Michaeleba,

Before you edit the region to change switch stands you should be aware that some of them are skittish. If you insert a spline point somewhere nearby the things will hop around wildly like a March hare, showing up far away, and searching for the critter is no fun. The standard Auran levers, hideous as they are, tend to stay put, with rare exceptions. FWIW you would probably do best by suffering the default levers until you figure you have things pretty well set, then do an asset replace or replace them one at a time.
