Changing a file in an established route ??

I have been trying to change a file in the Yorkshire Route.

At present there is a wall file -1:101284 that is colored yellowish. I would like to either change the color of the wall to gray or replace the file with another.

I have worked through the process of removing the texture file, converting it to a tga file, then placing it in the folder using CMP, removing the original texture file, and then committing the folder. CMP does not create an new texture file using the modified tga file.

I understand that this process should work and have had extensive help from a member of the forum in so doing. However we have ( ready for this ? ) hit a wall.

Is there something I am overlooking, is there a work around or must the walls be forever yellowish?

cheers

I was just discussing this in relation to another asset that I had changed. It seems that you will have to remove the wall from your route and replace it with the new one. It will not update automatically.

You said converted the file. If you have changed the name of the file it may not be reconised by other files that look for the original. You may have to change other text files.

Yes I have made sure that the file names are all correct. The tga file that had been altered was named to match the existing texture file before it was removed anticipating that the conversion would in fact want the names to match.
