Change Rate of Program-run train faster than normal

As I build more complex rule based scenarios it takes time to get to a place where a change is to be tested. While the time-of-day clock can have its rate increased this has no affect on the speed of the train. Is there a way to run the trains faster than normal?

Dick,

This works in TRS2004 and TRS2006. I don't know if it also works in Trainz Classics and/or TS2009.

Edit trainzoptions.txt and add this command anywhere in the file on a line of its own exactly as shown:

-Debug

Then when you're running a session or a TRS2004 scenario, holding down the Shift key will cause it to run faster. However, as a result of this speed-up, events such as entering a trigger or a junction may be missed which can cause the session/scenario to not behave as it should. Therefore it is best used only on sections of tracks where you know no events will occur.

Go into your Trainzoptions file and enter the line "-debug", save, and launch Trainz. In Driver mode, hold down the shift key while the driver is completing a string of instructions. This will cause the game to play exactly as it would, except much faster.

Edit: John, ya beat me to it. I can confirm that this works in TS2009, though.

Works -- seems ok going thru switches and trackmarks at faster rate. May be dependent on PC speed.
Thanks,
