CDP Miniatures

Hello, when I pack a cdp in TRS 2019 this miniature appears in the cdp's.
In Trainz 22 the same miniature appears and I would like to know if it is possible to change it to differentiate the 2022 cdp's from the others.
I thank you in advance for any indication. :)

Regards, Javier

Speaking of CDPs, what do I have to have on my PC to be able to open these kinds of files? Whatever it is, I apparently somehow managed to delete it and now I can't seem to open/install anything downloaded from anywhere other than the Download Station itself. Instead of the CDP Icon, my screen is only showing the default icon.

Anything anybody can tell me?

Right-click on a CDP.
Choose properties.
Choose Open with.
Scroll the list...
If TRS22.exe doesn't show, click on browse files...

A File Explorer window will open up.

Browse to C:\Program Files\N3V Games\TRS22 or wherever you installed the program, and choose TRS22.exe

This will associate cdp files with the program.

As a side note, this really isn't necessary. You are better off installing directly into the program rather than double-clicking on a cdp. You can easily drag a cdp file directly into Content Manager to install it or use the File ----> Import Content File... then browse to wherever you have your cdp files.

Thank you, I will give it a try.

Good to know about dragging it into the CM directly. I hadn't known one could do this.

Just add a label abbreviation to the end of a CDP name, @fant_autentico, i.e TRS22, TRS19, TRS12 etc etc.
Also, the correct English name for the "miniatures" is "Desktop Icon" or just "icon"

You can also download CDPExplorer from PevSoft, if you want to get a listing of the contained files or extract only specific files.

You want to remove the CDP icon!

WARNING: I would advise exporting a backup before editing and deleting anything from the registry

Open RegEdit

Step 1:

Hkey_Current_User
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Explorer
FileExts

.cdp

Delete the following folders

OpenWithList
OpenWithProgids

Step 2:

Hkey_Classes_Root

cdpfile
DefaultIcon, open the (default) string and delete value data, click OK
Shell. Open, Command: open the (default string and delete the value data, click OK)

NOTE: If cdp2file exists do exactly the same as cdpfile
Hint: Make sure to export a patch, so if you don't have to do the above steps again.

Restart your computer
