I have a problem where any time a car gets to a t intersection in one of my surveyor routes, it will not turn left or right but will continue to go straight and dissapear. Also, no car will stop at a stop sign or traffic light. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's because the cars "belong" to a particular stretch of road. When you build a road with a T junction, you are really building two roads - one up to the T junction and another across the top of the T. You could and maybe do have traffic on each but they won't move from one to another. The best way to avoid the unrealistic disappearance of the car is to hide the actual junction from your normal viewing angle - a building or even a tree will do the trick so that you don't actually see the car disappear.
As for stopping at traffic lights and stop signs, well, cars will stop at level crossings if you have the right sort of crossing - there's something in the programming (don't ask me what!) that tells them they must do this. However your average stop sign is just a piece of artwork with no function. It's my guess that there may be certain traffic lights with functional capability but, in my very limited experience, I haven't come across any. Perhaps some of the more experienced readers of this forum can help.
Best bet for functional traffic lights is the ATLS system by BOAT. It's a UK style system, but other creators have made US and other lights to suit. Search for 'ATLS' on the DLS.
